Why coaching?
The number one reason people quit their jobs is dissatisfaction with their supervisors, not their paychecks. How long an employee stays at a company and how productive he/she is there, is determined by his/her relationship with their immediate supervisor. Today’s highly volatile business environment demands that individuals and organizations perform at higher levels and at greater speed than ever before. Raising leadership from within has never been more crucial. To meet these new challenges, corporations worldwide are transforming their organizations from a “management culture” to a “coaching culture”.
How does coaching outperform managing?
The difference is that with the coaching culture you give strength and inspiration by uncovering what internally motivates employees based on their beliefs and values, as opposed to the management culture which stimulates interest externally based on your beliefs. A manager believes in solving problems and making decisions; a coach believes in inspiring commitment and stimulates creativity in others to solve problems and make decisions.
