In this session, you will learn of the various types of plastic fraud situations facing credit unions today and understand how these losses are taking place. Our speaker will provide specific action steps that a credit union needs to take to manage the exposure and explain why it is critical that we all work together to understand and counteract fraud. You will leave this session with a better understanding of what you can do to detect and combat potential fraud exposure facing your credit union and your members.
Speaker: Ann Davidson is a Product Expert in the Credit Union Protection Risk Management Division for CUNA Mutual Group in Madison, Wisconsin. She leads the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures for products and services in credit union protection. As a Product Expert, Ann provides research, analysis, and technical support for product development, insurance contract drafting, statutory and regulatory compliance, and pricing. She also obtains company information on claims, underwriting, risk management, and vendors, such as card processors and card companies, as it relates to products and services. Ann began her career with CUNA Mutual in January 1974. Since then, she has worked in claims, underwriting, and loss prevention within the Credit Union Protection Division. Ann attended the University of Wisconsin and is a member of the International Association of Financial Crime Investigators Group.
