When your members die, are you prepared to deal with the consequences? Do you know to whom you can legally pay funds when a member passes on? This seminar will teach credit union professionals what documents are needed from survivors making claims for funds. The speaker will also cover how the death of a member affects existing loans. The seminar will help prevent the grave consequences that can arise from mishandling funds paid to estates and beneficiaries. Speaker: Robert Rutkowski is a partner in the Brooklyn Heights, Ohio office of Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A. (WWR) and manages the firm’s Credit Union department and the Corporate & Financial Services practice group. Mr. Rutkowski served on the Board of Directors for the Lake County Educational Federal Credit Union for 4 ½ years. He is a frequent lecturer on legal issues for credit unions and has served as a speaker for the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) and most recently, the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES), where he leads a series of informational webinars.
