Remote Deposit & Risk: New FFIEC Exam Procedures Webinar June 10, 2010 $159 Webinar Only $159 CD Only $179 Webinar and CD
The wait is over! Last year’s broadly-written guidance on RDC risk management left many credit unions uncertain about examiners’ expectations. Now, with the FFIEC’s newly-revised Retail Payment Systems IT Exam Handbook, credit unions have a clear and surprisingly concise exam checklist around which to implement the proper procedures and risk controls for RDC.
Since the FFIEC’s release of Risk Management of Remote Deposit Capture in January 2009, credit unions offering Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) have been somewhat uncertain about how to interpret the guidance, much less prepare for the exams that would enforce it. Too strict an interpretation might undermine the business case for RDC; too loose might put the credit union at odds with examiners. This uncertainty led many to forestall implementation of RDC or aggressive roll-outs of the service to would-be clients. With the newly revised FFIEC Retail Payment Systems IT Exam Handbook, credit unions now have everything they need explicitly to prepare for and ace their next RDC exam!
