Wouldn’t it be nice if Regulation CC’s funds availability rules were simple?  More than twenty years after its enactment, some seasoned compliance professionals, examiners, auditors, and frontline staff still misunderstand Regulation CC’s funds availability rules.  Reasons for confusion include contradictory rules hidden in other sections without adequate cross-referencing; rapid-fire changes to local and nonlocal rules; and the recently-eliminated “nonlocal check” category.  Now that all checks are “local,” the importance of effectively using exception-hold extensions increases.

 

This webinar takes the myriad of rules and exceptions and condenses them into an easy-to-read funds availability chart.  Some basics will be covered, but the primary focus will be teaching you to use the chart by working through examples to find the answers.  Understand the maximum holds you can place on member accounts.  Avoid unnecessary losses on questionable items and prevent examiner citations for not making funds available as required by law.
