Preventing and Addressing Check Losses Wednesday, June 3, 2009 Embassy Suites Hotel Albuquerque, New Mexico 8:30 am to 4:00 p.m. (Registration from 8:00 am to 8:30 am)
Each credit union issues its own cashier’s or teller’s checks and/or takes checks from members for deposit. Thus, all credit unions are exposed to losses due to forged endorsements and signatures, counterfeit checks, lost or stolen checks, alterations and numerous other problems. These losses cost institutions over $1 billion dollars a year—it’s expensive and most often due to a lack of check solution resources and training.
This check loss prevention and recovery program will focus on the numerous check issues that every credit union employee must know. Additionally, this program will demonstrate how Check Management Solutions™ helps you and your credit union answer check related issues, and most importantly prevents and resolves hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential check losses
Attendance at this program is critical for you and your employees who want to complete their understanding of the check and e-payment system in order to provide better service to members, generate more income, reduce expenses and prevent and recover on losses.
Who should attend? This program is designed for Senior Management, Operations and Member Service Managers, Member Service Representatives, Tellers, Front Line Staff, Compliance Officers, Accountants, Bookkeepers, Tellers, CPAs, Attorneys and anyone at the credit union who is responsible for dealing with members’ or the credit union’s checks and share drafts or who has a checking account.
